UCSF Post-doctoral Position on Angiogenesis Using Imaging in Mouse Models

2024-11-27
Abstract:

UCSF Post-doctoral Position on Angiogenesis Using Imaging in Mouse Models

University of California San Francisco

Job Description

We are seeking outstanding candidates to lead a project studying signaling pathways, such

as Notch, BMP, and ephrin, in arterial venous programming, vascular regeneration, and

vascular diseases. We take a conditional mouse genetic approach to manipulating gene

expression in a cell lineage specific and temporally controlled fashion, along with in vivo

fluorescence reporters. We use cutting-edge imaging technologies, e. g. in vivo 5D real time

imaging technologies with an in-lab constructed two-photon microscope, which provides

exceptional access to gene function in vivo at the cellular resolution (3D structure and blood

flow, overtime). We also use Light Sheet Imaging/iDISCO/computational analysis and Spatial

Transcriptomics. The laboratory is well equipped, and UCSF offers amazing capabilities, at

the organismic, cellular, and molecular levels. We are interested in a recent Ph.D. with a

strong motivation and an outstanding publication record to join our team to make innovative

breakthroughs in a highly rewarding project. Funding is available for this position. We also

have an excellent track record in sponsoring postdoc fellowships. Candidates who desire to

gain expertise in imaging, mouse models of strokes, and microsurgeries, are welcome to

apply. UCSF offers attractive salary/benefit and outstanding postdoctoral career development

opportunities. Please submit your CV, research interests, and the names of three references

by email with a subject “postdoc application” to: rong.wang@ucsf.edu .
