Postdoctoral Position: IMMUNOTHERAPY and IMMUNOMETABOLISM
A post-doctoral position is available at Shikhar Mehrotra's (Ph.D.) laboratory at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC.
Mehrotra Lab investigates T cell signaling and metabolic pathways that can be targeted to increase T cell anti-tumor performance. To determine the domain of research, look at the following PMIDs for articles in Cancer Research, Science Advances, Clinical Cancer Research, Cell Reports, Cell Metabolism, etc.

Mehrotra Lab is housed in Hollings Cancer facility, an NCI-designated cancer facility that is deeply committed to human immunology and bench-to-bedside translational research, exemplified by recent trial to use “metabolically-fit” CD19 CAR-T cells for B cell malignancies (ClinicalTrials.gov identifier: NCT05702853).
The ideal candidate should have considerable immunology research expertise, as well as knowledge of murine models, flow cytometry, and gene manipulation. The postdoc is expected to work independently in experimental design and carrying out the experiments. He or she will be responsible for authoring and submitting manuscripts, as well as presenting results at scientific meetings.
