Postdoctoral Fellowship in Assistive Technologies / Neural Networks

The project of the Science Center for Development (CCD), titled “Assistive Technology and Accessibility in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras)” (TAAL), aims to develop automatic translation between Libras and Portuguese using deep neural networks. The postdoctoral position will focus on gesture recognition (hands and face) in Libras videos for gloss annotation. The selected candidate will: (i) review literature on gesture recognition and machine learning; (ii) collect and prepare data; (iii) develop and adapt models; (iv) conduct experiments; (v) prepare reports and articles; (vi) participate in meetings.

Benefits: FAPESP fellowship of R$12,000/month + 10% for research expenses.
