The opportunity is open for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (PD) from FAPESP, linked to a Thematic Project about functionalization of microfabricated devices aiming at the selective capture of circulating tumor cells for diagnostic purposes.
The selected fellow will carry out activities such as cloning, expression, and purification of recombinant proteins, physicochemical characterization (AFM, KPFM, dC/dz, SEM) and spectroscopy (AFM-IR, XPS, among others). The work will also involve cell culture, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy.
The research will also work with microfabricated electrodes, integrating a multidisciplinary thematic project. The fellow will work in close collaboration with different groups within the project, interacting with teams in cell biology, materials engineering, and microfabrication.
Requirements:
PhD in Chemical Engineering, biomaterials, or related fields;
Previous experience in physicochemical characterization (AFM, KPFM, dC/dz, SEM), spectroscopic characterization (AFM-IR, XPS, UV-Vis), and experience with cell and molecular biology, including cell culture, immunofluorescence, and confocal microscopy
Application:
Interested candidates should send an email by December 22, 2025 (subject: Bolsa PD-Biomaterials), including:
(i) a motivation letter highlighting prior experience related to the project (maximum 1 page);
(ii) CV;
(iii) two recommendation letters;
The fellowship provides a monthly stipend of R$ 12,570.00, plus 10% of the annual fellowship value as a technical reserve (RT) intended for unforeseen research expenses.
