The Karvas laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to study the development of the human placenta. We utilize two cutting edge in vitro models in our lab- trophoblast organoids and continuous blastoid and integrated human embryo models to study placental villous development. Stem cell culture and primary cell cultures are also utilized. The successful candidate should have experience with some of these cell types and an eagerness to learn advanced 3D in vitro modeling and assembloid culture. Job requirements are a PhD in biological sciences, developmental, cell, molecular biology; cell culture experience; bioinformatic skills or a willingness to learn; proficiency in english.
The candidate will be expected to perform experiments in the lab particularly in maintaining one’s cultures, analysis via microscopy and other analysis techniques, aid others in the lab particularly subordinates, and contribute towards high impact published journal articles.
