A postdoctoral position is available to work at the interfaces among cancer biology, immunology, and molecular epidemiology for HPV-related head and neck cancer. An interdisciplinary mentorship team for these positions includes multiple basic, translational, and clinical researchers who comprise a Translational Center of Excellence for HPV+ Head and Neck Cancer within the Abramson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania. Trainees will have opportunities to lead projects designed to have high clinical impact in the following topics:

(1) The role of differences in viral and host gene expression and function among HPV+ cancers in determining their divergent therapy responses.

(2) Targeting mechanisms that limit tumor replication stress in order to promote direct and immune-mediated clearance of HPV+ cancers

(3) Developing prognostic and predictive molecular biomarkers for HPV-related cancer from comparative multi-omic analyses

Applicants with training and experience in cancer biology, immunology, virology, cellular metabolism, stem cell biology, and genetics will be considered.  Experience in data science and bioinformatics are also viewed as desirable. Positions will be supported by NIH and private foundation funding as well as philanthropic support. Interested individuals should send a cover letter, CV, and reference information by e-mail to:
