Postdoctoral Fellow Position Available - RNA Therapeutics for Dermatological Diseases
The Tang Laboratory at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School is seeking highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Fellows to join our interdisciplinary team developing innovative RNA-based therapeutics for skin diseases.
Our laboratory is focused on advancing next-generation oligonucleotide technologies to address unmet medical needs in dermatology. We combine principles of RNA biology, biomedical engineering, drug delivery, and skin biology to develop transformative therapeutic strategies, including siRNA, antisense oligonucleotides, and other RNA-based modalities. Our research aims to understand disease mechanisms in the skin and translate rationally designed oligonucleotide therapies from discovery toward clinical applications.
Research areas include:
Engineering novel oligonucleotide platforms for topical and systemic delivery to skin tissues
Developing RNA-based therapeutics for inflammatory and autoimmune skin disorders
Investigating molecular mechanisms underlying skin health and disease
Discovering new RNA regulatory pathways relevant to dermatological conditions
We are seeking candidates with:
A Ph. D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in biomedical sciences, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, bioengineering, immunology, RNA biology, or related fields
Strong research experience in one or more of the following areas:
RNA biology and therapeutics
Drug delivery systems
Skin biology, immunology, or disease models
Bioengineering or related disciplines
Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment at the intersection of basic discovery, therapeutic innovation, and translational medicine, with access to expertise across the Department of Dermatology and the RNA Therapeutics Institute.
The Tang Laboratory is committed to fostering scientific independence, career development, and the training of future leaders in biomedical research.
